HIGHLAND PARK JUST DOESNT LEARN FROM PAST MISTAKES

Here we go again, ignorance, incompetence and stupidity.  Not to mention here's another case of not caring about the safety of city employees.

The Dog has learned that Highland Park, in its infinite wisdom, has just acquired a new patrol car for the supervisors to use.  Since none of the other cars run, Officers have been seen using this car as well.  So what's the problem??  Well, the problem is that this car is used, and used to the extent that it has over 133,000 miles on it and its a 1999 model.  Not a big deal?  Well the vast majority of Ford Crown Vic patrol cars are plagued with problems after the 80,000 mile mark from  wear and tear and abuse.  This is something Ive witnessed first hand from past experience, especially if this is a former Detroit PD car, which it appears to be.  So, it will be interesting to see how long this car actually lasts.  I sure hope they didnt pay money for that car, not a wise investment.  But, typical by Highland Park standards, especially when the city refuses to do routine maintenance on its fleet. Another waste of tax payer dollars.  Wouldn't it make more sense to apply for a grant and buy a couple new cars?  It also doesn't have spotlights, real safe!  Oh yeah, nothing in Highland Park makes sense, I forgot.
